About Photography
The camera has been a tool for me to explore the world around me and to capture the people and things I love. I especially love practicing this on trips to other countries. In the past, I was interested in taking pictures of people. But now I admire the unique architecture & scenery in every place. I've developed my style from years of client photography (graduations, sports, college club events, professional headshots etc).
One of the things I've learned was how to execute on an idea in your head to bring it into reality. Practice with this has allowed me to be more action oriented in life-- less afraid to try bold ideas. I've learned how to observe and notice things that might just be ordinary objects, but to turn it into something more.
Hong Kong 2024
My first time doing a "photo-walk" in another country. I focused on the unique architecture and tried to capture people living their everyday lives.
Philippines 2024
My first time back in the Philippines since I was a child. I was able to capture the beautiful landscapes and document some family moments.
Korea 2023
My first time in Korea with friends. I tried to capture the fall atmosphere and create clean frames. This trip also gave me the opportunity to practice my Korean as I've been learning it for 3 years.
Taiwan 2023
We came here directly after Korea. I tried to focus on the nature and small moments that happened with friends on the trip. Two of my friends are Taiwanese and getting to explore their home country and their culture was a once in a lifetime experience.
London 2023
Although I've been to London with family, this was the first time with friends. I enjoyed taking pictures of the buildings with regal architecture which was also juxtaposed with some of the rugged local streets.
